The world goals

The UN’s 17 World Goals for Sustainable Development are part of our collective consciousness. Both as individuals and organizations. We have recognized that we must live with and be dependent on each other. Participating in the achievement of world goals demonstrates the spirit of society and global responsibility.

MIQID works specifically with three global goals, where we can see that we contribute to sustainable development. We believe that people are increasingly using technologies and services that live up to sustainable goals. In the future, MIQID will strive to meet more global goals.

Verdensmål 10: Mindre ulighed

World Goal 10: Minor Inequality

▸ Inequality within and between countries must be reduced. It is one of the sub-goals of the tenth world goal

MI With MIQID, the digital infrastructure is established – first in Scandinavia and then in the rest of the world

▸ The digital infrastructure helps minimize inequality

Verdensmål 12 - Ansvarligt forbrug og produktion

World Goal 12: Responsible consumption and production

▸ According to a majority of climate experts, the globe cannot keep up with humanity’s consumption and resource utilization. That’s why we really need to save resources

▸ It is one of the basic idea behind MIQID to reduce paper consumption in the form of receipt prints and paper forms – and thus reduce deforestation and power consumption when melting and recycling paper

▸ With MIQID it is possible to collect all receipts electronically on your smartphone

Verdensmål 13: Klimaindsats

World Goal 13: Climate Action

▸ The climate situation is serious and must be taken seriously because it is about our own and our children’s future. We must act quickly to combat climate change and its enormous consequences before they continue

▸ One of our primary goals and incentives for MIQID is to eradicate plastic cards in the form of customer club cards and paper receipts. With a smaller production of plastic and paper, the CO2 pressure is reduced

▸ Clothing stores can see users’ current clothing sizes through MIQID, reducing overproduction of clothing and shoes in unsold sizes. Knowing the size of users saves a huge amount of money on shipping, while reducing overall CO2 pressure

▸ Gaining insight into market developments and trends unnecessarily reduces overproduction of products that are not sold

In 2015, world leaders accepted 17 global goals. These goals have the power to create a better world by 2030 by ending poverty, fighting inequality and tackling urgent climate change

MIQID's future with the world goals

Verdensmål 2: Stop sult

World Goal 2: Stop hunger

▸ Every year, every Dane throws out enormous amounts of food – and it is not only the Danes who have a large food waste. The enormous food waste in the Nordic countries is in sharp contrast to the countries where famine is still a daily plague. The famine must be stopped and the overproduction of food must be limited

MI With MIQID, it is desired that the user’s receipt should provide a virtual image of the household refrigerator. That way you always know what items are in the fridge so overconsumption is reduced

▸ MIQID allows the consumer to help stop food waste down to the individual level

Verdensmål 3: Sundhed og trivsel

World Goal 3: Health and well-being

▸ The boundaries between countries, cultures and peoples are more invisible than ever. This is due to both globalization and digitalisation. Mankind has greatly benefited from the fact that the world has become smaller

▸ The community makes strong. But we have also seen how a hyper-connected world can spread infection in no time

▸ In the future, MIQID will contain a health profile with a special epidemic preparedness. Here you can collect and continuously synchronize all your health data; health charts, body measurements, blood type, surgical data and test results

▸ Share your health profile with those who need to support you in your health. If you are injured abroad, you can give the local health care staff access so you are quickly helped in the best possible way
